This sermon was preached at OneChurch HB, September 22, 2024. The text is Luke 18:18-30.
In the letter to the Colossians, Paul describes Jesus’ ministry as the reconciling of all things to himself. In short, Scripture teaches that the mission of Jesus is to bring all things - human beings, creation, culture, everything - back under his reign as the Lord of the Universe.
So, what we are going to be doing for the next five weeks is look at the ways in which Jesus confronted some of the pillars of our society and boldly preached that these things must be redeemed. These things you value so much must be seriously reconsidered.”
